Just a little heads up...be careful where you park your bicycle on public property. Also, be sure to warn your young ones about the same thing. I heard of a couple of pre-teen lads who were hanging around a construction area in Tampa. They were doing what kids do...riding bikes and just running in and out of dirt piles having a good time on a day when the workers happened to be on another site. Apparently, after wearing themselves out in the hot sun, they ran to a nearby store to get some soda. One of the boys left his bike behind and opted to go on foot. I used to live in an old neighborhood that showed many sign of wear and tear, some of which were the unsightly driveway stains on most of the properties. The many years of oil spills and rust imbedded in a cement surface become increasingly difficult to remove. I know that to be a fact considering the numerous cleaning methods I have tried. Even my neighbors found it practically impossible to get rid of dirt and grime buildups. Hoses and soap and water can’t begin to make a dent in the awful looking mess. I was thinking recently about occupations and how some jobs seem to be mainly done by the male population in America. Every time I have had to hire a plumber, a man always shows up. The last time my air conditioning needed repair, two men did the deed. When I called for a carpenter’s service, sure enough, it was a man. I have observed in my neighborhood, over the last couple of months, several houses have had the roofs replaced and I haven’t seen one female worker. Our lawn service has turned over three times in the last several years and not one woman has been on the crew.
